It’s a beautiful four and a half hour train ride. On the weekends you can move up to first class for £10 each, so we are able to use the free wi fi and free coffee! We’ll write up details on our travels in Scotland shortly, really impressive scenery and we met some wonderful people along the way. Our northern most stop was Inverness, were we had a look for Nessy.

A few of our photos have been uploaded to our gallery, more to come as we get better Internet connectivity back in London tonight. We are going to try to can half price tickets to Les Miserables at the Queens theatre tonight, before returning to Atlanta tomorrow morning.

We left the hotel not knowing which tour as our first preference was cancelled.
We meet our London born & breed Tour Guide Mr Hanson, who is a bit like Simon Cowell, and reminds us promptly that in 1776 we made our decision to which I replied, Thank God! :) No disrespect intended.
As the drive through the city continued we were pointed out many iconic items to include the church Alfred Hitchcock was “hitched” and his home. Not the tradition things you usually see in London.
The fog has lifted as we make the two hour journey to see Stonehenge. John is readying his new camera for amazing pictures!
Stonehenge is fascinating! The stones are massive and mysterious. Unable to give anyone credit for this amazing structure that many visit each year. So thankful for a beautiful day in which to view this structure and take in all it’s mystery.
Oh Glorious Bath! Such a beautiful city; I could have stayed all day! The Bath Abbey was beautiful and service was just letting out as we entered the square. No one in jeans and t-shirts holding their Starbucks as they were leaving though; I <3 my church…NorthPoint Community Church! We walked the streets filled with shops and street performers. Stopped into a small coffee house, Jacob’s, for an Italian ham and cheese and cappuccino, the BEST cappuccino I have ever had by the way! It was so lovey I made John take a picture! Since we were in Bath John insisted we visit the Roman Bath House. Very impressive architecture and interesting stories of the hot springs bubbling from the ground with supposed medicinal powers. I passed on the opportunity to try a glass! We paused for a few photo ops then headed back into the streets to be amongst the people, which is my favorite part of traveling. John found a camera shop and purchased a remote control for the camera, which I believe now with all the accessories has cost us as much as my Honda Civic. Boys and their toys! Back on the bus for a short two trip to Strafford on Avon, the birthplace of the great William Shakespere.
While traveling we passed the back door to Prince Charles’ High Grove Estate, bet Camilla saw that back door on a few occasions, shame on you Prince Charles. A quick photo op as we drove past and then on to nap for the reminder of the ride.
As we enter Strafford on Avon a wonderful statue of Shakesphere welcomed us…although the city should really clean the pooh from his head, it did not seem right England being so proper and all. The garden was lovey and the abundance of swans made for a beautiful walk. The streets surrounds Shakesphere birthplace were quaint and full of people enjoying afternoon tea. Aa quick duck in a few stores and the off to walk thru the Shakesphere Birthplace garden and home. Thanks to Premium Tours for providing us with a glass of champagne and scones while we enjoyed two actors performs excerpts from “A Midsummer Nights Dream.” A quick tour of the house and gardens and of course an exit through the gift shop we make our way into the streets. As it’s 5pm now everyone is closing shops and we head for our tour bus which will take us back to London.
